Incline Village’s in-town beaches — Burnt Cedar Beach, Incline Beach, and Ski Beach — are private. They are operated by the Incline Village General Improvement District (IVGID) for Incline Village property owners and their registered guests, and they are not open to the general public. (Hermit Beach, often searched for as a fourth beach, is a stretch of Ski Beach rather than a separate one.)
The nearest beaches anyone can visit are Sand Harbor State Park, about a 12-minute drive south, and Hidden Beach, about 15 minutes south — both on Lake Tahoe’s East Shore, along with the shoreline access points off the East Shore Trail.

The private Incline Village beaches
Three beaches sit inside Incline Village itself. All three are restricted to Incline Village property owners and their registered guests; there is no day-visitor entry. Drive times are from Kinpine House.

Beach days for Kinpine House guests
Kinpine House sits a few minutes from the in-town beaches — Incline Beach about six minutes by car, Burnt Cedar and Ski Beach about eight.
Arrange beach days with us in advance and we’ll meet your group at the gatehouse to get everyone in — from there, the day is yours.
Whether we can do it on a given day depends on our own availability, so it is worth raising when you book rather than counting on it for every day of a stay. It is hospitality we are glad to extend when schedules align, not a fixed part of the rental.
If the timing does not work, or you would rather not coordinate at all, Sand Harbor and Hidden Beach are open to everyone and are a short drive south. The house keeps beach chairs, toys, and floaties for guests to take along either way.

Sand Harbor State Park

Part of Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park: turquoise water, granite boulders, and kayak rentals. Entry is pay-per-car and no reservation is required, but the lot fills early on summer days.
Hidden Beach

A secluded East Shore beach with turquoise water and granite boulders. Free, but there is no parking at the beach itself — you park at the East Shore Trail lot and walk or bike about a mile in, which is why it stays less crowded than Sand Harbor.
East Shore Trail
