Q1Are there vacation rentals with dedicated workspaces in Lake Tahoe?
Yes. Kinpine House, in Incline Village on Lake Tahoe's north shore, has writing desks in three of its seven bedrooms, fiber WiFi throughout, and a kitchen island and dining table sized for group working sessions. Because it is a whole-house rental with seven bedrooms, several people can take calls at the same time without competing for the one quiet corner — which is the usual failure mode of working from a rental.
Q2How far in advance should I book a vacation rental in Lake Tahoe?
It depends far more on stay length than on season. In Kinpine House's own booking record — 159 stays arriving between January 2024 and August 2026 — half of all week-long peak-summer stays were reserved about five and a half months ahead, while half of regular winter weekends were booked within about seven weeks of arrival. Shorter summer stays only become bookable once the 7-night minimum lifts at 90 days. Winter holiday weeks are the exception: minimums are longer and availability is genuinely limited, so ask early.
Q3What's the minimum stay?
Minimum stays vary by season. During summer peak (mid-June through mid-August), a 7-night minimum applies until 90 days before check-in, after which shorter stays may become available. Winter holidays typically have 4–7 night minimums. Shoulder seasons (spring, fall) and regular midweek periods have more flexible minimums — check the calendar or email stay@kinpine.com.
Q4Is it good for kids? What ages?
Excellent for kids of all ages. There are bunk rooms, a den lounge with foam beds, the Pac-Man arcade, a piano, Legos, board games, safe forest surroundings, and the beaches minutes away. For infants and toddlers: 3 pack-n-plays/cribs and a high chair are on-site, and beach toys, chairs, and floaties are available for beach days. The heated driveway makes arrival easy in any weather. Teenagers love the arcade and great room.
Q5Can we bring a dog?
No pets are allowed at Kinpine House.
Q6How does beach access work?
Incline Village's beaches (Incline Beach, Ski Beach, Burnt Cedar Beach) are private, restricted to residents and their registered guests. Arrange beach days with us in advance and we'll meet your group at the gatehouse to get everyone in — from there, the day is yours. Whether we can do it on a given day depends on our own availability, so it is worth raising when you book rather than counting on it for every day of a stay. Sand Harbor State Park (12 min away) is a public beach requiring a per-car fee.
Q7Is there EV charging?
Yes. The 2-car garage includes an EV charger. The heated driveway fits 6 more vehicles.
Q8What's the WiFi like?
Fiber WiFi — high-speed and reliable. Multiple people can work remotely or stream simultaneously without issue.
Q9Is there a dedicated workspace?
Yes — three of the seven bedrooms have writing desks: Bedroom 1 (lower level, queen with private bath), Bedroom 5 (main level, cal king with lake view), and Bedroom 6 (upper level, two Twin XLs). The kitchen island and dining table work well for group working sessions.
Q10How far is it from Reno airport?
Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) is approximately 45 minutes away. It's the closest major airport.
Q11Can we arrive early or check out late?
Standard check-in is 4:00 PM and check-out is 10:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be possible depending on adjacent bookings — contact hosts when you book to request.
Q12Is it good for a corporate retreat?
Yes. The home has fiber WiFi, multiple work-capable areas, large dining and meeting spaces, and accommodates up to 19. Q13Is there a hot tub?
Yes. A 7-person private hot tub is available year-round. It's especially popular in winter — steam rising into cold mountain air with a forest backdrop.
Q14How many bathrooms are there?
5.5 bathrooms total. 3 bedrooms have en-suite baths. The remaining bedrooms share bathrooms. Bathrooms are distributed across all floors.
Q15What are the check-in / check-out times?
Check-in: 4:00 PM. Check-out: 10:00 AM.

Q17Is the outdoor grill propane or gas?
Natural gas — the grill is connected to the home's gas line, so it never runs out of propane. This is a detail guests often appreciate after experiences elsewhere.
Q18Is there gear for infants and toddlers?
Yes. There are 3 pack-n-plays/cribs on-site. The heated driveway and forest setting make it easy with young kids. The bunk rooms keep older kids separate. Hosts can point you to the nearest grocery and gear rental if you need anything else.
Q19What kinds of groups book Kinpine House?
The most common stays are: multi-family group vacations (3–4 families combining, 12–19 guests), milestone birthday trips, annual family traditions, company offsites and work retreats, old friend reunions, and ski groups. Wedding-adjacent gatherings (housing for a nearby wedding) are also common. It works for any group that needs more than 5–6 bedrooms under one roof.
